Duels
Duels
Duels are one-on-one (or team vs. team) creative battles between MCs or beatmakers.
They are published and highlighted in a dedicated Duels section on the platform.
Why Join a Duel?
- Gain experience — a duel doesn’t have to be a diss; it can also be about writing on a set theme.
- Feel the thrill — nothing matches the energy of competing with a real opponent.
- Prove yourself — settle scores or show who’s the best.
- Earn ranking points — duels contribute directly to your rating.
- Get visibility — duels bring a spike in plays and community attention.
How to Start a Duel
- Register and log in.
- Go to your opponent’s profile page and click “Challenge to a Duel”, or post an opponent search request here below in comments.
- Choose the duel type: Diss or Theme. If theme-based, specify the topic.
- Set the submission deadline (in days). The countdown starts once all judges confirm participation.
- Add judges: you may invite 3, 5, or 7 (always an odd number to avoid ties). More judges = more feedback, but also longer to wait. To add a judge, paste the full link to their profile.
- Optional: use the “Additional Information” field to address your opponent or judges, clarify the theme, or add notes.
- Your opponent must accept the challenge. They may decline with a reason. Once they accept, the duel will appear in the Duel Catalog and be visible to all users.
- Each judge must confirm their role. If someone doesn’t respond, you can message them directly or replace them with another judge.
- Once all judges and the opponent confirm, the duel officially begins. Deadlines are calculated automatically.
- Submit your track within the deadline. Late submissions are accepted but will reduce your ranking points if you win.
Final Notes
Duels are meant to be exciting, fair, and skill-driven. Treat your opponent with respect, give your best performance, and appreciate constructive feedback from the judges.
